  • Freyr (Freyr)

    Vanir god of rain, sunshine, and fertility; brother of Freyja, son of Njörðr.

    Vanir goddess of love, seiðr, and a share of the slain. Owns the necklace Brísingamen and the falcon cloak.

  • Njörðr (Njörðr)

    Vanir god of the sea, wind, and prosperity. Dwells at Nóatún. Father of Freyr and Freyja.

  • Kvasir (Kvasir)

    The wisest being in all the worlds, created from the mingled saliva of Aesir and Vanir at the peace-making, whose blood was mixed into the mead of poetry.

  • Gullveig (Gullveig)

    The mysterious Vanir-woman whose killing and triple-burning by the Aesir ignited the first war in the world, and who is identified by many scholars with Freyja.
