Höðr is blind but exceedingly strong. The gods are reluctant to name him, for his deed of killing Baldr will long be remembered.
Höðr heitir einn Ásanna. Hann er blindr. Hann er ok nógs sterkr, ok myndi goðin gjarnan vilja at þess Áss þyrfti eigi at geta, þvíat verk hans mun lengi heðan af vera til minningar með goðum ok mönnum.
One of the Æsir is called Höðr. He is blind. He is also exceedingly strong, and the gods would gladly not need to mention this Áss, for his deed will long hereafter be held in memory by gods and men.
