Heiti for the hand (mund, arm, hramm) and its parts (elbow, wrist, finger, nail) and for the foot and its parts (thigh, knee, calf, toe). The hand is periphrased as 'the earth of weapons' and 'the earth of gold rings', the foot as a 'tree' or (in fresh figures) a mast and yard.

The feet may be called the tree of the soles, of the instep, sock or the like, the gliding-dart of the road or of walking, of the step. One may call the foot the tree or prop of these. The feet are periphrased by ski and shoes and breeches. On the foot are named thigh, knee, calf, bein, leg, instep, jarki, sole, toe. By all this the foot may be periphrased and called a tree, and the foot is called mast and yard, and periphrased by these things.
