Freyr's magical ship, forged by dwarves, which always had a favourable wind.

Skíðblaðnir was forged by the dwarf clan of Ívaldi at Loki's request and given to Freyr. The ship was large enough to carry all the Æsir in full armour but could be folded up like a cloth and carried in a pouch.

It is regarded as the finest of all ships. Whenever the sails were raised the wind blew favourably. The treasure is one of several examples of the dwarves' superhuman craft skill in Norse myth.
