Thor is described as the strongest of the Æsir. His realm is called Þrúðvangr and his hall Bilskirnir. He travels in a chariot drawn by the goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr.

Thor is the foremost among the Æsir and is called Ása-Þórr. He is the strongest of all gods and men. He possesses a realm called Þrúðvangr, and his hall is called Bilskirnir. In that hall there are five hundred floors and four tens. It is the greatest house that men know of. Thor owns two goats called Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, and a chariot which he drives, and the goats are called from this Ökunþórr. He possesses three precious things: the first is the hammer Mjölnir, which the frost-giants and mountain-giants recognize when it is held up in the air.
